The Versed Partnership

One partner for your books, your operations and your systems.

Every partnership starts with a 90-day Foundation. We get your numbers clean, find what's slowing you down and build the first fixes. Then we keep it running, month after month.

How the partnership runs

The first 90 days, then ongoing.

  1. Month 1

    Map

    • Goal-setting session: what should be different in 90 days
    • Operations & Systems Audit of your key workflows
    • Review of accounts, categories and reports
    • Catch-up and cleanup of your books
    • A prioritized list of what to fix first
  2. Month 2

    Build

    • A monthly close process set up for your business
    • A dashboard with the numbers you check most
    • Your first system or automation from the fix list
    • Key processes documented so they don't live in your head
  3. Month 3

    Settle in

    • Our first full monthly close and numbers conversation
    • Team walkthroughs on anything new
    • Adjustments based on how it works in real life
    • A plan for the next process to fix
  4. Ongoing

    Partnership

    • Books closed and reconciled every month
    • Reports in your client portal, on schedule
    • A monthly conversation about what the numbers mean
    • Operations support and one improvement each quarter
After 90 days

What you'll have in hand.

  • Clean, reconciled books you can trust
  • A map of how work and money move through your business, and where they get stuck
  • A prioritized fix list, with the first fixes already in place
  • A dashboard with the numbers that matter to you
  • Documented processes your team can follow
  • A monthly rhythm, so your numbers show up on time and get talked through

This is for you if

  • you own a business doing roughly $400K to $3M a year, with a small team
  • there's no full-time finance or operations person, so it all runs through you
  • you want your numbers to help you make decisions, not just file your taxes
  • you answer questions quickly and want a partner, not a vendor

It's probably not the right fit if

  • you only need transactions categorized once a year at tax time
  • you already have an in-house controller or operations director
  • you'd rather hand it off and not hear about it again
Not ready for a partnership?

Start with the Operations & Systems Audit

The audit is the first month of every partnership, and you can also book it on its own. You'll get a clear picture of how your business runs today and a prioritized list of what to fix, whether or not we keep working together.

Ask about the audit
  • Workflow map of how money and work move through your business
  • Review of your accounts, categories, reports and reconciliations
  • Prioritized fix list with what to tackle first and why
What I ask of you

This works best as a partnership.

I'll send questions about transactions and processes, and quick answers keep everything on schedule.

If something is still open at month-end, I close the month and flag it rather than hold everything up. Because of this, you always get your reports on time, and nothing slips through the cracks.

Investment

Clear pricing, set up front.

The Foundation is a fixed project fee, and the ongoing partnership is a flat monthly retainer sized to your accounts and how much operations support you need. We'll talk through numbers on your discovery call, and you'll get a written proposal before anything starts.

Questions

Common questions

What happens after the first 90 days?

We move into the ongoing partnership: monthly books, reporting, a numbers conversation and one operations improvement each quarter. There's no long-term contract, and you can adjust the scope as your business changes.

Can I start with just the audit?

Yes. The audit works on its own, and if you decide to move into the full partnership afterward, it counts as your first month.

Do I need to use QuickBooks?

QuickBooks Online is what I recommend, and I can help you get set up. If you're on another platform, let's talk about it on your discovery call.

Do you only work with therapy practices?

No. I work with owner-led businesses of many kinds, with a focus on women-founded, women-run and minority-owned businesses. Therapy and wellness practices are still a big part of my client list.

How do you handle confidential information?

I work with your business financials: revenue, expenses and accounts. For practices that handle client health information, I typically don't see client names or clinical data, and I work with you to keep it that way.

Next step

Let's talk about your business.

Tell me where things stand and what you wish your numbers could tell you. We'll figure out together whether I'm the right partner, with no pressure either way.
